Ford E-Series

From Party Bus Wiki

The Ford E-Series is a family of full-size vans and cutaway chassis produced by Ford. It is one of the longest-running nameplates in North America and has long been a popular base for shuttle buses, ambulances, and party buses.

Overview[edit]

Introduced in 1961, the E-Series has been offered in a range of weight classes — historically the E-150, E-250, E-350, and E-450. While Ford ended production of the E-Series passenger and cargo van body after the 2014 model year (replaced by the Ford Transit), the E-Series cutaway and stripped chassis continues in production.

Cutaway chassis[edit]

The E-Series cutaway chassis is a bare front-end cab with a frame rail extending behind it, onto which builders mount a custom body. This makes it especially popular for party buses, shuttle buses, and specialty vehicles.
