E450

From Party Bus Wiki

The Ford E-450 is a cutaway chassis in the Ford E-Series family. It is one of the most common foundations for small-to-medium party buses and limo buses.

Overview[edit]

The E-450 has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of approximately 14,500 pounds. It is built as a cutaway chassis, meaning the driver cab is followed by an open frame rail for a custom body.

Powertrain[edit]

Current E-450 models are powered by a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine. Earlier generations used a 6.8-liter V10 gasoline engine and, at times, a diesel V8.

Use in party buses[edit]

Because of its proven reliability and wide availability, the E-450 is a go-to platform for party bus builders. Its size supports comfortable groups while remaining easier to maneuver than larger truck-based buses.
